Tears or Rain Drops!

I am late! But why this happens to me? It does not meant to be! Why can not I just with you? A very obstinate I am feeling like a looser right now.  Dreamt a lot about to triumph it seems I have a defiant attitude and what came up next? I am standing here by loosing my chance and bend my head. Why these lights are on? I try to keep my tears out of view. No! Do not think that crying is for you. You think that you are worthy for that? Why? You leave me, self seeker! I am just crying for my big mistake.
When tears came out pouring my cheeks, every single memory of my friendship appeared into my minds. Yes! I can still remind her face. She was crying begging a lot to pardon but I was just like real steel. “Once you break my mind it is over and I have no intended to mate it again.”  Yes! That was my last words to her. She was not detained then just left some words before she passed away. “Someday you will miss me!”
I never said you cheated on me. Rather I said, was that necessary lying to me? I do not understand why you had to choose sacrifice being made me happy with the lie! Think about my luck, I did not get a chance to see you looking at me. At least I need to say, “You are my only friend in the world or you could just be the one whom I can stoop.” How self seeker you are leaving me alone without giving any chance of mating again.
I heard on a phone call you want to see me. You never know, I am here now, watching you sleep all quite. You look beautiful and it scares me to wake you up. Oh! How could I forget that you love to be a “Sleeping Beauty” in your world of imagination? See, your dream comes true today. You just look like the “Snow White”. The very white skin as there is no presence of blood. How you feel, when it bleeds a lot? It was chilling right? If I were there to warm you up! No need of me. You get yours, but mine also came true by that way. Once you told me that “if my dreams come true it will be true to you too, cause we are like twin and we meant to be.”  I, Cinderella always have to play with cinders. Always scared that very wind blow up and I have to loose my cinders. That wind came to me and it snatches my cinders from me. You are the cinders of my story. But could you just please wake up once and tell me why you have to die and I have to live? Great now you just stop talking to me.
Finally you are leaving and I am still watching your leave but could not hold you to say, “Please do not leave and stay with me.” They take your stretcher and my views get vague. I do not know how long I stayed there just get back in real when a nurse give me your brown jacket to me. It is folded but still it smells your blood. I open the fold and see something painted on it. It is raw, it is red and still it is wet.
Outside it is raining. You love rain right? Well, things are happening one by one after yours heart. Just you are not here any more. Or, who knows may be you are still watching on us. If you see then, let me show you the rain walking. After all I know a secret of you. You love to cry in the rain. Now let me cry and make you confuse whether I am crying or the rain drops pouring over my face.
It dumbs when I just steeped about her last words to me. I just wish to ask her “How did you know that I will miss you?” Well, I sloping that you win. Yes! You knew that I will miss you but you know what? You will never know how much I miss you right now!

World Food Day 2011

Do you know, what is hunger? Hunger is that thing; just because you never thought about impurity rather seek for to eat the remains of another’s meal from a dustbin. Hunger is that thing, which makes you solicit to others. The very sensible issue can make you kill others. Does it seem so dreadful? Well, let’s change the scenario. Here, you will find a very affectionate one where a mother repeatedly warning her son to eat his food in time during the break time and if he does not then see how a mother scold to her son just because he grew thin day by day! Does it seem so tender-hearted? Yes! May be that is. Within a same country, in the same time there are two scenarios which contradict to each other but did you ever try to compare these two common scenarios for a while? May be! May be not!
Fie upon you! Not just upon you it’s for the youth who are keep silence though they have the strength to wipe out the dreadful scenario from the map. But where are they? The people who solicit to you because of hunger they are deprived from their basic rights. Responsibility, where it is now? To flare up these questions we the youth are came ahead. We have to face challenges every now and then. So, now we are united. International Youth Council Bangladesh (IYCB) tries to unite the youth power to tear up those pages where the history of injustice, grief, hunger is written. We are not afraid of. We continually face challenges, how we view them defines us! Do we choose to see the challenges as stepping-stones or as obstacles? If we choose to see them as obstacles, then the challenges we face will be viewed as problems. Problems that need to be overcome along with all the negative connotations associated with problems.  We at IYCB however, choose to see challenges as stepping-stones as opportunities that we have encountered along the way for us to use, to "step on" so that we can achieve more, develop further and ultimately actualize more of our goals!
Among the many challenges that face us - let's focus on one. It is World Food Day 2011. Activista Bangladesh is working to spread awareness among the youth by arranging a campaign on 16th October at The Central Shahid Minar premises. Their aim is to create hunger free Bangladesh. This time they concerned about the women empowerment in agriculture. They announced it as ‘Women engaged in agriculture are farmers, we demand state recognition and equal rights”. And the slogan they tried to raise is “Up with justice, down with hunger”. International Youth Council Bangladesh (IYCB) and Bangladesh Youth Forum (BYF) are jointly partnered with Actionaid-Activista Bangladesh.
International Youth Council Bangladesh (IYCB) took the responsibility to cover up the promotion of this World Food Day 2011 campaign by arranging signature campaign on University of Dhaka. Covering two spots one on the premises of Arts building and another one on T.S.C where they placed their booth for collecting signatures both on banners and petition papers. IYCB collects more than 2000 signatures in this campaign. Well, where is the challenge doing such kind of things? The obstacles are come from the administrative level. IYCB has to compromise their selection of spot for placing the booth. Though they need to change their plan but not step backward. They have hope. Lot’s of hope. That hope took them to the flight of the latest step. Positive responses that make them to think with a new enthusiasm. So, here is the big challenge when there are obstacles but you are not feared. Well, after the signature campaign the grand event on 16th October was also a great challenge. Here, IYCB organizers work hard to unite their members to raise their voice once again to fight against injustice. They believe that, some day or other there would be no word named hunger available in Bangladesh. One thing, one scene would be common then that, everybody is well feed enough.  Rally, candlelight procession, flash mob everything was just to get attraction from general was doing by youths. And be a part of that awareness build up event IYCB are making a great debut by joining there youth within a same bondage. That bondage once again remind of that quote “Many a little makes a mickle”.
We are all destined to make choices and those choices do largely control our actions. I am most fortunate and grateful that IYCB is filled with so many motivated people who make positive choices, which ultimately lead to so many meaningful and productive actions. We need to promise less and deliver more...every time. So, that’s why we believe “Youths are not the leader of tomorrow, they are the leaders of today”.

IYC and Project Green Channel

"This world demands the qualities of youth: not a time of life but a state of mind, a temper of the will, a quality of imagination, a predominance of courage over timidity, of the appetite for adventure over the life of ease." - Robert Kennedy
Youth’s are always keen to learn something new from environment. In today’s society, youths are facing some severe problem which is related to environment. They should be concerned about the initiatives that take part in creating a whole new world with a gentle environment. By stepping forward some youths among us take an initiative for educating Bangladeshi youth to be Eco Friendly. So here’s the story of Project Green Channel begins.
As Project Green Channel is an educating program to change the views of youth what they usually avoid so it need much more contribution and support to run smoothly. So some renowned youth organization showed their interest to run the project jointly. IYC-International Youth Council-Bangladesh Chapter is one of them.
Youth’s are always expecting the best result of their contribution. They work hard to do their best and in return they want no personal feedback but to make changes in the society. Following this strategy IYC   started their journey with participation in the Project Green Channel.
IYC labeled them as one of the coordinator so they took the responsibility to organize and created a list of participants who were interested to be a volunteer. Duties were provided to IYC and the organizers from IYC turned those tasks as challenges as it was their first project they gained. IYC organizers called several meetings to create a balance for co-operating the organizers; here we learned how to make a decision within a short time with prioritize everyone’s thought. We the organizers from IYC did the name tags and took the in charge of distributing those to the participants of Green Channel.
Project Green Channel was divided into three categories;
1.      Workshop
2.      Marathon Cleaning Program
3.      Envi-outcomes
Workshop program was set for two days 4th and 5th July. IYC divided their 70 participants into two schedules. Each schedule contains 35 participants. In our first day on workshop IYC members were participated happily though the whole program was not perfectly organized yet what we expect. But we considered this and hope for next day program will be organized. In our first day workshop IYC participants learned how to make papers by using waste papers and Kachuripanas. In lunch time break participants were provided by food where IYC organizers were took the in charge of doing this. And in the last session of workshop participants were encouraged to a competition of food-composting. And we are glad to mention that our IYC participants took the 1st and 3rd place in the competition. So that proves much for IYC how to compete!!
In our second day on workshop everything was same as before but it was perfectly organized than the first workshop. And vigorously our IYC participants showed their best in the last session competition. So definitely we can say IYC rules!!
Well continuing here something is hidden which seems as dirty truth. But ultimately there’s no chance to hide it and focus something else. All that glitters is not gold! May be it would be a happy ending for IYC organizers and participants in Project Green Channel. But following some reasons IYC quite from the project. We never say it was because we are unfortunate rather we say that we are luckily fortunate that we can save our beloved organization from any kind of bad effects which can destroyed our reputation. After all Charity begins at home!
A little learning is a dangerous thing! It happened because of some so called youth those who took initiative for educating Bangladeshi youth have some problems as they are not highly organized and lack of access knowledge about running a big program. They are not highly mannered. Even they are desperate to behave arrogantly with the other organizers. It seems Empty vessel sounds much!  It is always a true fact that if a school of people were not organized and committed and never shows little respect to others  it will definitely broken by any times. Because there is no strings attached.
Here came the turning point. Every program has some positive and negative effect. With out these two aspects a program can not be judged in a right way. Project Green Channel surely has some great influence to the youth but its negative aspects can not make us satisfied. That’s why IYC is no longer attached with them. And we the IYC members think that it is the best decision ever we made as we started our journey in the society as an infant. But do not forget that infants are learning by stumbling. So we wish that Project Green Channel members will be able to learn from their program by recovering their faults. And for IYC we must pretend like Good wines needs no bush!
